New Shutterbug?

I started downloading pictures from my camera to the computer and noticed that I had a lot more pictures than I thought I did. Apparently Savannah has taken some pictures of her own. Here are a few of them. They are funny. BTW the picture of her close up from Oh My! Before shot is one she took of herself. Not to shabby. I hope to develop this new hobby of hers and maybe I might be in some pictures instead of always behind the camera.

Oh MY!!!

Yesterday I was helping Savannah get ready for school and me ready for work. I notice that her bangs are getting really long and were getting in her eyes. So I sat her on the counter and had her hold the garbage can under her face to catch the falling hair. I took out my scissors and trimmed her bangs. I remember saying firmly to her that she in not allow to cut her hair only Mommy or Bonnie our hairdresser. She agreed and said "Okay Mommy". We had a normal day she went to school and I went to work. Later that night I asked her to get ready for a shower. She did what I asked her and I met her in the bathroom. I told her to look up so I could take out her hair. I looked down and this is what I found. WHAT ?!? Where did the other half of your bangs go??? She was in her room for like 5 minutes. I asked her where the scissors were. She immediately started crying because she knew she was busted. I said didn't I just say this morning not to cut your hair. Yes mommy she sobs. She asked me to glue her hair back on. I told her we couldn’t do that. I told her that we would have to call Bonnie and have her cut the rest of her hair off. Just like a boy haircut. She freaked out. No mommy I don't want boy hair.....I like my hair. I then asked her why she cut it? Typical 4-year-old response I don't know...

I was really upset. I love her hair. It's so shiny, straight and thick. I on the other hand have half curly wild 80's rocker hair. Okay only when I let it air dry. So now I am left with dreaming up new ways to camouflage her hair. Any one have any ideas?

Attempting to camouflage...

Disastrous!!! Notice she's frowning....

Happy Birthday Dylan!

Dylan turned 9 today! He had a great day. He chose Cinnamon Toast crunch for his breakfast. We headed to church, during Primary he had to stand in front of everyone and we all sang to him. I could tell he was a little embarrassed but he was a trooper and made it through the song. When we came home and had a family birthday party for him. He chose a great dinner. Then he opened all of his gifts. He as usual was spoiled especially from Grandpa and Grandma. All in all he had a great day! Happy Birthday Dylan! We love you.

Tagged....

I was tagged by Shannon.....Killer! Just like Shannon I have a really difficult time coming up with stuff like this. I will try my best not to bore you too much. Here it goes....

1. A Loyal Friend. I have friends that I have known for a really long time. I love all of my friends. I have learned so much from each of them. They have been with me through good times and bad times. I would do anything I could for them.

2. I love to dance. It started at a very young age. I remember watching Michael Jackson's Thriller. I was mesmerized. I love all types of dance. I love watching the dance reality shows. I try and do the moves and my kid’s kind of laugh at me. But tell me I do a good job. hehe . Love it!

3. Crazy about my family. They are the light of my life. I love everything about each one of them. They are each so important to me. They have taught me a lot about myself. They are the best thing that has ever happened to me.

4. Habit of tag lines. At the office you can always hear me saying "Killer" or "For the love..." I have notice people around me have picked them up as well or have I picked it up from them. I'm not sure. But it's probably a bad habit that I'm not sure I can break.

5. I jam out in my car. I don't as much with my kids in the car, but when I am alone...watch out. As Shannon is fully aware. hehe.

6. I love chocolate. I am kind of a chocolate snob. I only like certain kinds of chocolate. I don't really like dark chocolate or super sweet chocolate. I don't know....I like what I like.

So there it is. Not to exciting...what can I say I am boring. So now I have to pick 6 people. Angela * Cari * Olivia * Lissa * Rebecca *. Good Luck Ladies.

1. Each player lists 6 facts/habits about themselves.

2. At the end of the post, the player then tags 6 people and post their names; then goes to their blog, leaves them a comment by letting them know that they have been tagged and invites them to read your blog.

Cowgirl Sis!

Savannah has been waiting all week for today. Today at pre-school is western day. She just loves her pink cowgirl hat and pink cowgirl boots. She wanted to put on her hat and boots while she ate breakfast. Usually she eats breakfast in her jammies. I know that Grandpa will be thrilled to see her today in her garb. It is especially fitting since later today we are headed to the cabin thick in cow country. Sis you look darling. Yeehaw Pink!

Branching Out

Okay, I finally did it. I added color to my house. For years now I have been afraid of color. For those who have been to my house know what I mean. Tan walls, carpet, tile and furniture. Sigh....So I am trying to branch out. I of course started with the smallest room in my house. :-p I figure if I absolutely hated it, I could easily change it back with out spending big $$$. I know these aren't the best pictures but it's proof there is another color besides tan. Mossy Green and White! Jimmy did such a good job. Don't you think?
