Welcome to the jungle of boys

We had a fun weekend with the Walker family. Friday Mike and Cathy DeMie were sealed to Joey and Casey. Two brothers they adopted a few months earlier. Later that evening we met at Mike and Cathy's for snacks. The boys thought it would be fun to invite their cousins to for a sleep over at our house. Well all the parents agreed and we packed up the boys. I really didn't fully know what I was getting myself into. I got into the car and it reeked of boy sweat. I had to roll my window down. Keep in mind it is still really cold at night. About half way home Jim told the boys they were going to play the quiet game. They were getting really wild. Jim told them if they were good he would buy them a candy bar at the gas station. Well they were good and we stopped at the gas station. I stayed in the car as they went in. They boys held open the door for the ladies. I thought well that was nice. I could see that the boys said something to the girl who worked there. Later I found out they were cat calling to her. What!! The oldest is only 12. Sigh...They stayed up till 7:00am. That's right morning.... All in all they boys had a fun time. I caught some pictures of the boys playing guitar hero.

Savannah stayed over at Brynlee’s house the same night. Chrisee told me that the girls stayed up until 2:00am.

All I can say is that the Walker gene is alive and well. (Walkers like to stay up late.) The picture of the girls is funny because of the fact Savannah stayed up so late she was a little crabby.

Happy Easter!

We had a nice Easter this year. The kids didn’t get up too early this morning, which was nice. The Easter bunny hid the baskets in high places this year since we have a dog. But the kids are smart and it didn’t take long for them to find them. They really didn’t get a chance to gorge because we had to get ready for church. They looked so cute in their Easter clothes. The boys sighed because I still have a big say in what they wear to church. We take a neighbor boy to church with us and he asked why they were wearing Easter colors. The boys of course replied because our Mom made us. Jim thought that was really funny. I told the boys after church that if I heard them complain any more that next year I would make them wear pink and purple. They quickly told me they liked their Easter clothes. Hehe. The kids did great in the Easter program. Rylan had a speaking part; he by far was the clearest speaker. Savannah had fun waiving her palm leaves. Dylan sang beautifully. We then went to Grandma’s and Grandpa’s for Easter dinner. It was also Uncle Dustin’s birthday. HAPPY BIRTHDAY DUSTIN! We also did an Easter egg hunt. Grandma Phyllis and Aunt Joanie were there too! We had such a fun time eating and talking. It was a great day.

Boys, Boys, Boys and Mckenna

For Rylan's friend and cousin party we went to Classic Fun center. I haven't been there since my Jr. high days.....(many moons ago). I was shocked that things haven't changed too much there. It still looks the same. They have added a few new features like the bouncy room, laser tag and the jungle. Rylan invited 11 boys and his cousin McKenna. I was worried that she would feel out of place, but she did awesome. She kept up with the boys and in some case surpassed them. Uncle Chad brought Brynlee so Savannah had a buddy to play with. We got the girls some roller skates. They didn't do so great. Mom, Dad and Chad’s backs are killing trying to keep the girls from falling. The party was a big hit. Dylan is already planning his party for when he turns 10.

You make my heart smile.

I came home from a long day at work and Jimmy had dinner all ready. That seriously is the best thing to have done when you are a working mom. They boys are old enough now to do daily chores. They each rotate doing the dishes after dinner. Dylan had scouts earlier that afternoon and they did some cooking. His darling leader got these chef hats for the kids. Dylan just loved it. He wore it for the rest of the night. He is always doing things that are hilarious. I just had to take this picture of him doing the dished and singing away. The next day at work while sitting at my desk I thought about Dylan and his chef hat. He just makes me smile and makes my heart smile.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY RYLAN!!

Today Rylan turned 10! I can't believe it. The past 10 years have flown by. Rylan is such a good boy. We really enjoyed making his day special. Rylan woke up to his favorite cereal "POPS". He even shared with his brother and sister who begged to have a bowl. He then went to school and shared some glazed doughnuts with his class. For dinner we had his favorite meal. Roast beef with mashed potatoes and gravy. YUMMY! He was spoiled as usual with a lot of gifts and cards from family. He will be having a friend party later this week. Classic FUN center here we come.

Mustang Thunder

Over the weekend we went to Idaho and cheered on our Nephew Ryan. The team played in the state basketball championship. They ended up finishing in 4th place. Ryan made the state all-star team. What an honor. We are proud of you Ryan.
