Key West, FL

Our Fabulous Trip!

I started this blog after our trip. But I wanted to post some pictures, because we had such a good time. I am so lucky to have such a generous boss. We didn't even meet our sales goals but he still wanted to go on this trip. Man! I am so glad he did!
We flew to Ft. Lauderdale FL. We landed at midnight. We joked in the office that we should pull an all nighter in Miami. Well we almost did. I was completely amazed of the nightlife that goes on in Miami. We rented two large cargo vans. We loaded everyone's stuff into the vans and drove to Miami. It was around 1:00am when we finally made it to Miami. We drove around in South Beach for a while Jim and I were looking hard for the Miami Ink tattoo shop. But we didn't find it. But we found a Johnny Rockets and stop in for a bite to eat. All of the restaurants open up to the sidewalks so it was fun to rest and watch the people walk by. We even saw Santa...intoxicated. There are some crazy people in Miami. We finally went to our hotel about 4:00am. to take a quick nap. We all got up and attempt to go to church but the only session was Spanish speaking. So we went to little Havana instead. They were having a big parade celebrating the three wise men. We got roped into sitting on the Mitt Romney float. James in the office is a huge fan. We couldn't stay long because we need to get to the port to board our ship. Our first port was Key West, FL. We had a blast we rented a scooter and drove around. We visited the aquarium and the pirate museum.

Beloved Prophet

Much to our surprise our Prophet Gordon B. Hinckley passed away yesterday evening. As we thought of how we were going to tell our children of the news. My thoughts turned to the glorious celebration he and his wife must be having. He often spoke of her and their love they shared. It was an awesome example of unconditional love. Our prophet served an outstanding 13 years. He had more enthusiasm and vigor that people half his age. I loved his humor and the way he treated all people he met. He was known as the people's president. He truly was.

We pulled each of the kids aside and told them the news. Our youngest Savannah looked at me and said "Mom, Jesus told me he loved him very much." I told her she was right, and that Jesus love us very much and will make sure the next prophet is a great example. Gordon B. Hinckley will truly be missed.

Amazing Girl

Savannah and I got the chance to see Dani compete with her cheerleading squad. It was really fun to see her and to watch her talents. She amazes me with how effortless she makes it look. They took first place. Way to go Dani we are proud of you!!
